One day soon I will post my homemade Alfredo sauce recipe but it is a little more time consuming than I prefer for a busy night. So when making our freezer meals, we found a much quicker version to use!
2 large chicken breasts cut into strips
2 jars of your favorite alfredo sauce (we use Bertolli)
1 bag frozen broccoli
To make, combine strips of chicken and two jars of Alfredo sauce in a gallon Ziploc freezer bag and freeze. The night before put the bag in your refrigerator to thaw. Put the contents of the bag in your crockpot in the morning and add garlic powder to your preference. Cook on low 4-6 hours. About an hour before its done, add the bag of broccoli. Serve with your pasta of choice!
This recipe could not be easier and requires hardly any work and that’s why I love it! You can make this meal without turning it into a freezer meal but I love that doing it this way makes dinner call for little to no effort on the night you make it. Plus cooking the ingredients together all day gives it a better taste! Perfect for snowy days like today!
