Hello all! I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend! I loved looking through social media Sunday night and seeing so much faith and love for the Lord displayed everywhere. Wouldn’t it be great if that’s how it was every day?! Everyone looked so cute in all their Easter outfits too!
We go to Louisville for the spring football scrimmage every year and were so glad we were able to go again this year! We’ve been working so hard and have barely gotten any quality time in together when we’re not working on business stuff (life of small business owners trying to grow)! We stopped by Bass Pro on our way into town. We had never been to the one in Jeffersonville, IN before and it was way bigger than the one in Nashville. It was super impressive!
I still love this beautiful campus!!
We decided to do a little shopping before dinner! I have been in desperate need of updating my spring wardrobe but didn’t really want to spend the money. My in-laws surprised Jared and I each with some spending money for our trip and thanks to their kindness I was able to buy 3 dresses I am in LOVE with and I was able to splurge without any guilt 🙂 I bought this one, this one and this one.
We ended the night with a delicious dinner at P.F. Chang’s and some relaxing at our hotel!
The next morning we got up and had breakfast, drove by Jared’s grandmothers old house in Louisville and then went to the football game!
We had such an amazing time!! Warm weather, uninterrupted time together and a sneak peek at the football team.
After the game, we had an early dinner at The Cheesecake Factory & then headed home. This trip was a definite reminder to us how important it is to get away and just hang out as often as we can. I’m so thankful we were able to get these awesome 48 hours in together!
Saturday night was spent unpacking and relaxing at home and then Sunday morning Jared headed into the fire station and I was off to celebrate with our family. This was the first year since before we were engaged that Jared had to work at the fire station and miss Easter! I didn’t think it would bother me much but it did. Spending holidays apart is hard each and every time. Please remember that there are some jobs that never get holidays off and be so thankful for the emergency responders that always work to keep us safe!
Even though I was bummed to celebrate without Jared, I had a wonderful Easter celebrating with our family!
After church, we took our annual Easter photos!
We had a great time but missed Jared!
Everyone was posing with their significant others and I didn’t have Jared so I posed with this stick in his honor instead 😉
After church, we had a family cookout at my Grandad’s. So much yummy food & lots of laughing!
We continued our Easter celebrations with dinner at my grandparents! We had a delicious meal and lots of fun hanging out!
I was exhausted by the time Sunday night rolled around but it was totally worth it for a trip with my husband and lots of Easter celebration with family!
